Welcome to the new Granville Girl Scout website! We hope you like the new face, but rest assured, the primary focus of this site is still to inform girls and leaders of the activities of their fellow scouts. Granville leaders: If you were unable to send your troop's information but would still like your page personalized or would like your page changed, please feel free to email the webmistress at ggsjet@hotmail.com.

Welcome to the Granville Girl Scouts web site!  This site was designed with the purpose of helping Granville Girl Scout Troops share ideas and accomplishments with each other and their fellow Girl Scouts. We hope this site will increase awareness of the activities of Granville Girl Scouts and foster better communication between troops. Come on in and get to know our Granville Girl Scouts better.

About Computer Safety

Girls should have a solid knowledge of computers and the Internet (i.e. the Computer Smarts and Point, Click, and Go! Try-Its) before using this site. Also, all girls must have the permission and assistance of an adult when coming online. A good place to start is the My Online Safety Pledge, which gives guidelines for safe and appropriate behavior online. Girls should sign and discuss this pledge with a parent, guardian, or responsible adult before they begin exploring the Internet.

A Little Bit About Granville

Granville is the colored slate capital of the world. The town's population is estimated at 6,000, but fewer than half that number live in the village proper. Well-maintained Victorian homes, with large porches, gingerbread trim, and slate roofs in varied colors and designs dominate the scene within the village. with farmhouses and barns dotting the surrounding hillsides. The community of Granville embraces Middle, North, West, and South Granville plus Hampton, Truthville, and Raceville. Because Granville borders the Vermont line, Wells, Pawlet, and West Pawlet, Vermont also are an integral part of the community in both business and social relationships.

The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to respect myself and others,
respect authority
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
